I've Got Sunshine On A Cloudy Day.

Okay, maybe I don't....but I can dream, can't I? It's Friday....and I need a little push to get me through the workday and into the workend....er, i mean weekend.

Hope to see you at the Hyundai dealership from 2 to 4 tomorrow......or maybe at Wrigley from 6 to whenever. I'm guessing beer will trump cars...but I could be wrong. We'll see.

Hope your weekend is a good one....

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, β€” and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of β€” wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew
β€”And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

A Very Elite Club.

It's No Love Thursday......lots of (no) love right now in my life. The list, in fact, of people i DO love is disturbingly thin. If you're one of those people, know that I love you and am thinking of you right now.

If not....well, join the throngs of humanity.

I hope to be in attendance at the mahogany bar this evening to proclaim the mantra of No Love to the assembled disciples and fellow prophets. Hope to see you there. If not, have a safe passage till we meet again.

Salut!

Good Hosts? Or Just All American Ingenuity?

SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) -- A Pettis County man was arrested for allegedly running a secret strip club.
More than 30 officers from Pettis County, the Highway Patrol and others raided the club Friday night and found several customers and scantily clad dancers on hand.
Authorities say the club was in a barn near the Pettis and Johnson county lines.
A Pettis County sheriff's spokesman says the owner claimed that he lived in the barn and he was just welcoming visitors to share in his home entertainment for $5.
The barn's interior included a stage, a dancer's pole, a dressing room and a D.J. station.
The owner and his girlfriend were arrested on suspicion of operating a business and selling liquor without a license. Three others were arrested on drug charges.

Asshat Mom Of The Day.

WHEATON, Ill. (AP) -- Shannon Cook was only an audience member at the taping of "The Jerry Springer Show," but what she allegedly did to attend sounds as if she were a featured guest.
A DuPage County judge has sentenced the Westmont woman to 30 days in jail for leaving her three young children at home unattended for a number of hours while she and her boyfriend attended the taping of the show.

Cook, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this week to misdemeanor child endangerment and was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Daniel Guerin, who also placed her on probation for a year.

The two girls and one boy, the oldest of whom was a 3-year-old, were placed in foster homes by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services after the Oct. 19 incident.

Police said Cook left the children alone about 3:30 p.m. that day when she and her boyfriend left for Chicago to attend the taping. About five hours later, the two oldest left the family's apartment and began knocking on the door of a neighbor, who called police.

Cook was arrested when she returned home after midnight."I didn't think I'd be gone that long," a police report quoted Cook as saying. "I thought I would be back earlier."
