Boudeleaux Bryant Was A Genius. (Or, I Wish That I Was On Old Rocky Top.)

Busier than a one armed paper hanger....a one legged man in an ass kicking contest....or whatever other colorful metaphor you'd care to use. Lots of stuff going on at work. Trying to have a social life outside of work too. Thanks to Tom, and Cliff, and especially Robbie for the great ribs last night.

Found out I actually CAN play darts...like most things in life, not as well as some, but better than others. Found out that I'm too old to stay up till 1am...and then GET up again at 4. Remembered that as in the rest of my life, I have tendency to push forward now...and suffer the consequences later. As a result, I've nodded off twice at my desk so far today. Oh well.

Changes at work....will update as soon as the embargo lifts. In the meantime, my recent trip to East and Central Tennessee has whetted my appetite for relocation services, and a new beginning--or possibly a return to old ones.

Here are a couple of pictures of my trip.....

The condo on Renegade Mountain where we stayed. 2400 feet up in the Cumberland Mountains.

The place where Amanda's boyfriend took us for dinner the first night in Knoxville. Good stuff.
Two pictures of Ozone Falls....on the western side of Renegade Mountain, near where we stayed. A quick hike to a 100+ foot waterfall into deep blue water. Cold water, too.
Two nubbins finding out just how cold mountain water is. We had fun. (The waterfall is about 20 feet to the right....notice the break where they're standing; where the water is getting faster.)

Lots of fun. I'm now recharged, renewed, refreshed.....but I still want to go back as soon as possible. As the old song goes...."Here comes that old travelin' jones once again...."

In other news, looks like I'm a maybe at best for NLT....tomorrow or any other night. Tomorrow's potential absence you can blame on the Wizards and the Komets....more news later on the rest of the story. Hoist one (or eleven) in my honor, OK?
